About the Company:

Our client is building an AI-powered healthcare technology platform integrating workforce management, telehealth, electronic health records, and revenue cycle management.

 

Job Description:

You will design, build, and scale our platform using AI-native development practices. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for an experienced engineer who can independently own architecture, development, infrastructure, and deployment while using AI agents to speed up delivery.

 

Responsibilities of the role:

• Build and manage AI-assisted development workflows spanning requirements, architecture, coding, testing, review, and deployment.

• Orchestrate multiple AI coding agents.

• Establish automated testing, code review, security controls, and continuous integration and deployment pipelines to support weekly production releases.

• Architect and develop scalable applications.

• Build healthcare workforce management capabilities, including scheduling, credential tracking, staffing, and personnel management.

• Develop telehealth functionality, AI-powered transcription, clinical documentation, and billing automation.

• Design reliable, reusable application programming interfaces and third-party integrations.

• Build responsive, intuitive web applications and user interfaces from wireframes, ensuring seamless workflows for clinical and administrative staff across multiple browsers and devices.

• Deploy and maintain applications on Google Cloud Platform.

• Develop AI workflows for clinical documentation, medical coding, claim processing, and revenue cycle automation.

• Manage cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, monitoring, performance, and scalability.

• Implement HIPAA-aligned security practices, data protection, access controls, and secure handling of protected health information.

• Translate business and clinical requirements into technical solutions.

• Work directly with leadership, clinicians, and operational teams.

• Own features from concept through production, with weekly sprints and releases.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production applications, or equivalent education.

• Demonstrated AI-native development experience, including agentic coding, multi-agent orchestration, AI-generated testing, and automated code review.

• Strong full-stack engineering experience, with expertise in Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL highly preferred.

• Proficiency in Python and experience building large language model-powered applications, agents, or AI workflows.

• Production experience with Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.

• Experience developing application programming interfaces, third-party integrations, automated continuous integration and deployment pipelines, and secure cloud applications.

• Strong system design, troubleshooting, communication, and independent problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with weekly production releases.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with healthcare technology, HIPAA compliance, electronic health record integrations, or medical billing and revenue cycle management.

• Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, X12 EDI, and healthcare interoperability standards.

• Experience with React, TypeScript, WebRTC, or real-time applications.

• Knowledge of AI transcription, retrieval-augmented generation, model evaluation, or AI-assisted medical coding.

• Experience building early-stage SaaS products or establishing agentic engineering workflows.
