Our client is a managed services provider that builds a cloud manufacturing ERP for aerospace and metal-coating shop floors.

Job Description:

You will build and improve features this client. This includes the front end, the API, and the delivery pipelines. You will work with a senior developer. You will deliver well-tested features from start to finish. You will use AI daily to help you work faster. You will also catch AI mistakes and turn prototypes into production code. This role offers growth for someone wanting to learn more about manufacturing software and DevOps.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Build and maintain features for quoting, sales orders, work orders, inventory, receiving, parts, certifications, and accounting.

• Develop Angular screens and components, including mobile-friendly views for tablets and phones.

• Add and extend REST API endpoints and database queries.

• Build and refine dashboard widgets for management and shop floor displays.

• Support integrations with barcode scanners, terminals, and accounting tools.

• Fix bugs and handle customer support tickets.

• Work in and help maintain CI/CD pipelines, containers, and test environments.

• Help package and deploy releases.

• Write and maintain automated tests for unit, component, end-to-end, and load testing.

• Help with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting production issues.

• Follow secure coding practices and help implement security controls like access control and audit logging.

• Use AI daily for coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

• Review, correct, and improve AI-generated code to make it secure and ready for production.

• Turn quick AI prototypes into clean, tested production code.

• Follow and help improve team practices for using AI in development.

• Take part in code reviews, giving and receiving feedback.

• Work with the senior developer and users to understand requirements and test features.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of professional full-stack development experience.

• Strong front-end skills with Angular and TypeScript, including responsive design.

• Working back-end skills building REST APIs and relational data models (SQL).

• Manufacturing background: experience with ERP, MES, or shop-floor systems, or time in a manufacturing environment. You understand work orders, inventory, routings, and part traceability.

• DevOps skills: experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Linux. Some experience with virtualization or cloud hosting.

• Strong AI experience: regular use of AI tools like Claude for development. You can use, correct, and improve AI-generated code. You can tell when AI output is wrong and fix it.

• Experience writing automated tests.

• Understanding of secure coding basics: authentication, input validation, and role-based access.

• Clear communication skills. You ask good questions and work well on a small, remote team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the aerospace, defense, or metal finishing/coating industry.

• Familiarity with CMMC, NIST 800-171, or FIPS requirements.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Talos Linux, or Hyper-V.

• Experience with accounting features (A/P, A/R, general ledger) or QuickBooks integrations.

• Experience building interfaces for kiosks, displays, or scanners.

• Experience in an MSP or IT services environment.
