Job Title: Audio Data Labeler and Sourcing Specialist

 

About the Company:

Our client is a US-based AI company that creates new AI models with a focus on audio.

 

Job Description:

Every AI model needs good data to learn from. Our client is building new AI models focused on audio. They need someone to find, collect and label the audio that will train them.

You will receive daily collection requests from the client. You will turn each request into a clean and well-labeled batch of audio sources. This is an entry-level position. You will get coaching and guidance from the client team as you start.

 

Responsibilities of the role:

• Own the daily collection requests by searching YouTube, podcast platforms and other sources for audio that matches the client search terms and topics.

• Label and categorize each source accurately in shared spreadsheets like speaker, topic, language, audio quality and other fields the client defines.

• Screen content for fit and quality and discard clips that are off-topic or low quality.

• Propose new audio sources beyond YouTube and podcasts such as public broadcasts, archives, conference talks or audio platforms.

• Keep track of your output and flag blockers early.

• Join a short daily sync with the US-based team to receive feedback and new requests.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Very good spoken and written English at C1 level or above.

• A degree, technical certificate or current studies in IT, Systems, Education or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience showing strong computer skills.

• Comfortable working all day in spreadsheets, browsers and online platforms.

• Able to work full-time and overlap at least 1 to 2 hours a day with 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

• Reliable internet connection and a computer with good headphones.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Any experience with data labeling, data annotation, transcription or content moderation.

• Familiarity with podcasts, YouTube or online media research.

• Interest in current events and politics.

• Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese.

 

Personality:

• Detail-oriented and able to handle repetitive tasks while keeping high consistency and speed.

 

Software & Tools:

• Google Sheets or Excel

 

Schedule:

Full-time hours

At least 1 to 2 hours of overlap with 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time, with the rest of the hours flexible
