Job Description:

Our client is looking for a talented and dependable Web Developer to join their team full-time. You will have strong general web development experience. You also need hands-on experience with Shopify. This role involves developing, maintaining, and improving websites. You will implement new features, troubleshoot technical issues, and support digital marketing efforts. Shopify experience is required, but the position is not exclusively focused on Shopify development.

You should be comfortable working on different website projects. You can solve technical problems, make improvements, and work with a marketing-focused team. Shopify experience is important, but they want someone with well-rounded web development skills. You will contribute to the broader needs of the business.

 

Responsibilities of the role:

• Develop, maintain, and improve company and client websites.

• Build and implement new website features, pages, and functionality.

• Make website updates, content changes, design adjustments, and technical improvements.

• Work with Shopify websites, including theme updates, customizations, product/page updates, and troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure websites support lead generation and conversion goals.

• Optimize websites for speed, performance, mobile responsiveness, and user experience.

• Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs and technical issues.

• Integrate third-party tools, applications, forms, tracking systems, and marketing platforms.

• Assist with landing pages, funnels, and other web-based marketing assets.

• Perform ongoing website maintenance and quality assurance.

• Identify opportunities to improve website functionality, performance, and conversion rates.

• Stay current with modern web development practices, tools, and technologies.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven professional experience as a Web Developer.

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience working with modern website platforms and development tools.

• Hands-on Shopify experience is required.

• Experience customizing Shopify themes and making website updates.

• Understanding of responsive and mobile-friendly web development.

• Experience troubleshooting website issues and implementing technical solutions.

• Familiarity with website performance optimization and basic SEO principles.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, reliable work.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects or priorities.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Shopify Liquid.

• Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms.

• Experience with APIs and third-party integrations.

• Experience working with landing pages and marketing funnels.

• Understanding of conversion rate optimization.

• Experience working with analytics, tracking, and marketing technology.

• Experience supporting websites for marketing agencies or service-based businesses.
