Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced EDI & Systems Integration Specialist. You will help establish NetSuite as the primary system for the company's order-to-cash process. You will ensure that orders, fulfillment, shipping confirmations, invoicing, and inventory data flow accurately between connected platforms. This role focuses on reducing manual data entry, eliminating duplicate processes, improving transaction accuracy, and ensuring reliable communication between NetSuite and external systems.

 

Responsibilities of the role:

• Evaluate existing integrations between NetSuite, SPS Commerce, ShipStation, Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and other connected platforms.

• Identify integration gaps, manual workflows, duplicate data entry, and opportunities for automation.

• Build, maintain, and improve integrations that synchronize orders, fulfillment, shipment tracking, inventory, invoicing, and financial transactions.

• Configure and optimize workflows that automatically transmit shipment confirmations, Advance Ship Notices (ASNs), and invoices following fulfillment and billing in NetSuite.

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot EDI transactions, including document types 850, 855, 856, and 810, along with other partner-specific requirements.

• Improve marketplace integrations to ensure orders are accurately created in NetSuite and shipment confirmations and tracking information are returned to the appropriate platforms.

• Collaborate with SPS Commerce, NetSuite consultants, marketplace providers, API developers, middleware vendors, and internal departments to resolve integration issues.

• Monitor failed transactions, investigate discrepancies, and establish alerts and exception-handling procedures.

• Reduce manual order processing and minimize the need for employees to update multiple systems independently.

• Document integration architecture, workflows, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Support the onboarding and integration of new retail, marketplace, dealer, and distribution partners.

• Continuously identify opportunities to automate order management, fulfillment, invoicing, inventory synchronization, and reporting.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience with EDI integrations and systems integration in an e-commerce, retail, distribution, or supply chain environment.

• Strong working knowledge of NetSuite ERP, particularly sales orders, order fulfillment, invoicing, billing, and inventory workflows.

• Hands-on experience with SPS Commerce or a comparable EDI platform.

• Familiarity with EDI transaction sets, including 850 (Purchase Order), 855 (Purchase Order Acknowledgment), 856 (Advance Ship Notice), and 810 (Invoice).

• Experience integrating ERP systems with e-commerce marketplaces, logistics platforms, and external trading partners.

• Understanding of APIs, web services, middleware, and data mapping between systems.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate failed transactions and resolve data discrepancies.

• Ability to identify inefficient manual processes and translate operational requirements into practical automation solutions.

• Excellent documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple integration priorities.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience integrating NetSuite with Amazon, Walmart, eBay, ShipStation, and other marketplace or shipping platforms.

• Experience with NetSuite SuiteScript, SuiteTalk, saved searches, workflows, or other NetSuite integration capabilities.

• Familiarity with integration middleware, iPaaS platforms, webhooks, and API-based automation.

• Experience supporting high-volume order processing, retail compliance requirements, and multi-channel fulfillment.

• Knowledge of inventory synchronization, shipping notifications, invoicing automation, and order-to-cash process optimization.

• Experience onboarding new EDI trading partners and maintaining partner-specific integration requirements.
