Job Description:

Our Client is seeking a warm, engaging Online Art Instructor to conduct live art classes for older adults. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and skilled at creating a positive and inclusive online learning environment.

This is a part-time remote position, ideal for someone passionate about art and comfortable teaching via online platforms.

 

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct live virtual art sessions (e.g., watercolor, sketching, or other accessible art forms).

• Maintain punctuality and consistency in adhering to scheduled hours.

• Create a welcoming and uplifting environment for participants.

• Encourage participation and adapt teaching to accommodate different skill and mobility levels.

• Submit a short 1–3 minute teaching video as part of the application process.

• Participate in initial recorded practice sessions for feedback and training.

• Adjust camera, lighting, and presentation as needed based on feedback.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Prior online teaching or tutoring experience (freelance or formal).

• Basic proficiency in art instruction (formal certification not required).

• Clear and comprehensible spoken English.

• Reliable internet connection and suitable workspace for online classes.

• Ability to maintain a consistent monthly schedule (12–16 hours per month).

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience teaching or working with older adults or children.

• Background in visual arts, design, or education.

• Comfort with using online platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).

• Ability to create a visually engaging environment through attire, lighting, and presentation.

 

Personality:

• Positive, cheerful, and empathetic.

• Dependable and punctual.

• Patient and encouraging toward learners.

• Energetic and creative with a friendly on-camera presence.
