Job Title: Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Position Description:
The Mission Critical Electrical Commissioning Engineer role focuses on assisting with the commissioning of electrical systems in mission-critical environments. You will ensure that all electrical installations meet design specifications and operate as intended under various conditions. Your work will be critical to the success of projects involving power distribution, emergency power systems, and other critical electrical infrastructure.

This includes data centers, hospitals, and other high-reliability environments that depend on the seamless operation of electrical systems. Travel Information:

Extensive travel will be required to various project sites across the United States.

Candidates should be prepared for frequent trips, with a minimum commitment of 2-3 weeks on-site for each project phase.

Travel expenses, including lodging, airfare, and per diem, will be fully covered by the employer.

Return trips home can be arranged between project phases, allowing for visa renewal if necessary.
Project Duration:

Projects range from 4 months to 2 years, with the potential for remote work when not needed on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Support electrical commissioning activities, including testing and troubleshooting power distribution, generators, UPS, and switchgear systems.

Monitor electrical installations and system performance to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.

Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, procedures, and results, ensuring proper archiving and accessibility.

Participate in testing activities to verify system performance under various conditions (e.g., full load, no load, failure scenarios).

Assist in identifying and resolving issues that arise during commissioning, collaborating with engineers, contractors, and vendors.

Provide regular updates on commissioning progress and communicate with clients regarding any concerns.

Ensure that all work adheres to safety standards and best practices, using appropriate protective equipment.

Conduct site inspections and provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support during the commissioning phase.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

Previous experience in electrical commissioning or work with mission-critical electrical systems (data centers, hospitals, etc.).

Strong technical understanding of power distribution, emergency power systems, and electrical infrastructure.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and specifications.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Proficiency with electrical testing software and tools.
Language Requirement:

C1 Level of English proficiency.
Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with commissioning software.

Certifications such as LEED, CxA, or PMP are beneficial.

Team player with strong critical thinking abilities.

Effective under pressure, with a focus on finding solutions.

Willingness to stay on-site for extended periods, when needed.

Smart, proactive, and adaptable to varying project demands.
Salary and Benefits:

Hourly range from 20 to 30 USD per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Salary paid in USD or Local Currency according to your preference.

All expenses paid, including lodging, airfare, per diem, meals, and insurance.

Potential car rental, depending on eligibility (Valid License).

Paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
