Description
Job Title: Marketing Specialist
About the Company:
Our client is a marketplace startup connecting customers to home service businesses (e.g., movers, cleaners, landscapers) during their off-peak hours. We’re in the early stages of growth, testing demand, and building efficient systems to scale fast. Join us to help shape a bootstrapped, dynamic team focused on results.
Job Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist to lead our customer acquisition efforts, focusing heavily on email marketing and supporting the development of our marketing funnel. You’ll work closely with our IT Systems Engineer to build and optimize processes, ensuring we attract suppliers (home service businesses) and test demand from customers (via partnerships with realtors, Airbnb hosts, etc.). This role requires a scrappy, hands-on approach to scale our platform efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Design, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns to attract suppliers (e.g., movers, cleaners) and test demand from potential customers.
Build and manage a marketing funnel in collaboration with the IT Systems Engineer, using tools like HubSpot or similar CRMs.
Craft compelling email copy and A/B test campaigns to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to refine our go-to-market strategy.
Support the creation of a landing page to drive sign-ups for suppliers and demand-side partners (e.g., realtors, Airbnb hosts).
Coordinate with the founder to align marketing efforts with partnership goals and supply-side onboarding.
Be flexible and ready to adapt strategies based on early-stage testing results.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on email marketing.
Proven ability to set up and manage email campaigns (e.g., using HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar tools).
Intermediate to advanced skills in building marketing funnels and analyzing performance metrics.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment with minimal oversight.
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for professional email copy and team collaboration.
Spanish fluency is a plus (to engage Latin American suppliers/customers).
Self-starter with a “bootstrappy” mindset—willing to wear multiple hats and pivot quickly.
English Level:
C1
