Job Description:

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor to assist with event recap editing and social media deliverables. The role primarily involves editing footage into concise edits and may include some photo editing.

 

Responsibilities:

• Edit event footage into minute-long videos for social media platforms.

• Create deliverables for social media, including multicam edits and Instagram carousel posts.

• Perform occasional photo editing to complement video content.

• Collaborate with the client to meet deadlines and ensure content quality.

• Work flexibly, adapting to project needs and deadlines.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in video editing, particularly with event recaps.

• Ability to handle multicam setups and create engaging social media content.

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cinema production and DIT.

• Ability to organize and manage large volumes of footage.

• Background in social media freelancing or film studies.

 

Personality:

• Serious about their craft and eager to improve.

• Talented and experienced, ideally more advanced than the client.

• Adaptable and able to work well under deadlines.

 

Software & Tools:

• Proficiency in Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro.

• Familiarity with communication tools like Slack.

 

English Level:

C2

 

Schedule:

20 hours, between 9-5 EST
