Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic, bilingual (Spanish-English) Legal Case Coordinator to assist with the management of criminal and family cases. This role is essential for facilitating communication between Spanish-speaking clients and the firm, focusing on managing sensitive communications, ensuring compliance with judicial conditions, and providing continuous client support throughout legal proceedings. The ideal candidate should possess a legal background, professional writing skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
• Manage clear, empathetic, and efficient communications with clients regarding:
• Hearing dates
• Changes in judicial status
• Probation instructions or alternative program conditions
• Payment tracking, compliance, and documentation
• Coordinate and update court calendars and deadlines on platforms such as Filevine, MyCase, or others.
• Draft and record detailed case logs in English, translating judgments or resolutions when necessary.
• Communicate with prosecutors, interpreters, probation officers, and judicial assistants to confirm relevant information.
• Support the uploading and organization of documents within internal case management systems.
• Provide basic client assistance regarding court-imposed conditions, forms, payment instructions, and use of money orders.
• Escalate urgent cases, complications, or legal issues to the supervisory team.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
• Background in Law, Paralegal Studies, Political Science, or related fields (advanced student or graduate).
• Previous experience in case management, as a legal assistant, or in similar roles (desirable).
• General knowledge of the criminal and/or family legal process in the U.S. (or willingness to learn quickly).
• Proficiency with legal platforms like Filevine, MyCase, Clio, or similar (desirable).
• Basic knowledge of Google Workspace and professional email etiquette.
Preferred Skills:
• Bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English, oral and written).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Legal synthesis ability: skilled at transforming complex information into clear explanations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Emotional intelligence to handle sensitive topics with vulnerable clients.
• Highly proactive and capable of working autonomously and exercising sound judgment.

Part-time or full-time position depending on experience. Schedule: 10 AM – 6 PM EST.
