Job Description:

Our Client is seeking a Design Engineer with expertise in product design workflows, design systems, and automation. This role emphasizes designing and implementing automation workflows that bridge design systems with code environments, rather than creating pixel-perfect UI screens.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automation workflows integrating design systems into code environments.

• Define and map design system components into structured systems usable by LLMs and code generation tools.

• Build workflows enabling AI or prompt-based generation of UI components aligned with predefined design systems.

• Translate PRDs and product requirements into scalable, deterministic UI structures.

• Develop React components and supporting tooling reflecting structured design system rules.

• Collaborate directly with founders on vision, workflows, and execution.

• Work on client projects involving product design innovation and automation initiatives.

• Communicate ideas clearly through prototypes, diagrams, sketches, or structured documentation when needed.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience as a Design Engineer, Front-End Engineer, or Automation Specialist with strong exposure to product design workflows.

• Solid understanding of design systems, tokens, interaction paradigms, and deterministic UI principles.

• Experience working with designers and design systems in production environments.

• Strong knowledge of React and modern front-end development practices.

• Experience building or contributing to automation workflows or AI-assisted development processes.

• Ability to interpret PRDs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills and high cognitive ability.

• Comfortable working directly with founders without a traditional PM structure.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools, LLM workflows, or “vibe coding” environments.

• Background in workflow automation or business process automation.

• Exposure to building AI agents or internal automation systems.

• Experience working on iOS or Android product features in collaboration with design teams.

• Familiarity with tools such as Figma (from a systems perspective, not visual production).

• Quality-focused and thoughtful—prioritizes scalable solutions over rushed execution.

• Strong communicator, whether through structured writing, prototypes, or visual artifacts.

• Comfortable with async collaboration when needed.

• Analytical, structured, and able to understand high-level product vision.

• Not driven by surface-level presentation; focused on delivering meaningful outcomes.

• Collaborative and open to “jamming” on ideas to refine solutions.
