Job Description:
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Walmart Category Manager to oversee and optimize a specific product category on Walmart’s online marketplace. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing account health, improving product listings, executing pricing strategies, and leveraging data analytics to drive sales growth. This role requires a deep understanding of eCommerce, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize sales performance.
Responsibilities:
Product Listing Management: Create and maintain accurate, compelling product listings on Walmart.com, including high-quality images, detailed descriptions, and relevant keywords to improve search visibility.
Pricing Strategy: Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to implement competitive pricing strategies, balancing sales volume and profit margins.
Content Optimization: Develop engaging product descriptions, highlight key features and benefits, and ensure brand messaging consistency.
Sales Forecasting and Planning: Analyze historical sales data to forecast demand, develop promotional strategies, and support business growth.
Category Analysis: Track key performance metrics such as conversion rates, average order value, and customer reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
Pricing & Promotional Activities: Plan and execute online marketing campaigns, including discounts, special promotions, and featured product placements to boost customer engagement.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to track sales performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to enhance category performance.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Strong understanding of eCommerce principles and best practices.
Experience managing products on Walmart Seller Center.
Analytical skills to interpret data and drive business decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
Passion for customer experience and digital commerce.
Reliable equipment, internet, and services to support remote work if applicable.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with other online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, or Shopify.
Knowledge of Walmart advertising tools and marketing strategies.
Background in digital marketing, SEO, or product management.
