Job Description:

Our Client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the evolution of their cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. The role involves being the technical owner of Kubernetes, AWS, and GitOps stack, ensuring scale, security, and automation across the platform.

 

Core Responsibilities:

• Define and implement long-term infrastructure roadmaps aligning with engineering and product growth plans.

• Partner with engineering leaders to integrate scalability, reliability, and security into the platform.

• Evaluate and implement emerging DevOps tools and practices for improved system efficiency and developer experience.

• Design, deploy, and manage production-grade Kubernetes EKS clusters, ensuring secure and scalable deployments.

• Build and maintain Terraform modules for AWS infrastructure management with best practices.

• Design and optimize AWS environments for performance, security, and cost efficiency.

• Implement and maintain observability tools, define SLOs, and set up proactive alerting for system health.

• Embed SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls into CI/CD pipelines, managing IAM, encryption, image scanning, and audit logging.

• Develop automated validation, rollback, and recovery processes to minimize manual intervention and downtime.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and GitOps.

• Proven track record in designing and managing cloud infrastructure.

• Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform.

• Experience with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.

• Understanding of security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Helm charts for Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in managing AWS services (VPCs, RDS, S3, EC2, Lambda).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

 

Personality:

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Software & Tools:

• Kubernetes, AWS, GitOps, Terraform, Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Helm.
