Job Title: Product and Manufacturing Manager

 

About the Company:

Our client is involved in the manufacturing and development of high-end furniture products and seeks a dedicated individual to manage overseas production and product development.

 

Job Description:

The Product and Manufacturing Manager will oversee the entire process of product development and production management for furniture products. The role requires coordination with overseas manufacturers, particularly in China and Indonesia, and may extend to Vietnam and India for textiles and rugs.

 

Responsibilities:

Manage overseas production and development of furniture products.

Handle the complete process of product development for new products.

Organize all production-related activities, including sampling and shipments.

Manage the product sampling process with overseas manufacturers.

Expedite sampling through factory visits when necessary.

Coordinate finishes for furniture.

Ensure product quality and adherence to design specifications focused on high-end furniture.

Manage shipments of manufactured goods, primarily to the US.

Oversee packing and logistics for efficient transit.

Assist with correspondence related to product development and production.

Act as a local point of contact for product control and details, if on-site.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

Must have experience with furniture manufacturing.

Experience working with manufacturers in China is highly preferred.

Experience with manufacturers in Indonesia, Vietnam, or India is valuable.

Knowledge of high-end furniture production and design.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Fluent in English for effective communication.

 

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with logistics and shipment coordination.

Experience in managing multiple time zones and international communication.

 

Personality:

Efficient and detail-oriented.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proactive in problem-solving and managing production challenges.

 

Software & Tools:

Familiarity with project management and communication tools is preferred for efficient coordination and reporting.

 

English Level:

C1

 

Schedule:

Flexible 3-4 days a week | 6-8 hours/day

 

Salary and Benefits:

Payment in USD or Local Currency according to candidate's preference.

Holidays: Local holidays observed in the employee's country of residence will be included.

Paid Time Off (PTO): Time off will be provided, specifics acknowledged for part-time and full-time roles.

Schedule: Expected to start part-time (3-4 days a week, 6-8 hours per day) with potential for full-time as workload increases.
