Job Title: Collections Specialist

 

About the Company:

Our Client specializes in providing services related to billing and collections, primarily in a case-based environment. They focus on ensuring timely payments while maintaining professional communication with external partners.

 

What You’ll Do:

The Collections Specialist will manage a portfolio of open accounts from initial billing through final payment. This detail-oriented role emphasizes follow-up and is driven by consistent outbound communication to advance many cases.

 

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage a queue of assigned accounts, tracking status, balances, and next action dates

• Document next steps and ensure timely follow-up for each open account

• Send account statements and supporting documentation upon request

• Communicate professionally via email and phone with external partners

• Respond to inbound emails within defined service expectations

• Identify stalled or high-risk accounts and escalate appropriately

• Maintain accurate records and upload supporting documentation

• Close accounts only after confirming payment and documentation

• Conduct routine negotiations with insurance adjusters

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Strong organization and follow-through

• Ability to manage multiple open items simultaneously

• Clear, professional written communication (email-heavy role)

• Comfort working with tracking systems and deadlines

• Ability to work independently without constant supervision

 

Preferred Skills:

• Billing or collections experience

• Experience in healthcare, legal, or insurance environments

• Experience in compliance-heavy industries

 

Personality:

• Extremely organized and detail-oriented

• Persistent in follow-up

• High degree of personal accountability

 

Software & Tools:

• Tracking systems for account management

 

English Level:

C2, Native

 

Schedule:

9-5 EST
