Our client is a professional services firm specializing in medical claims processing and authorizations. They assist healthcare providers in navigating the complex world of pre-service authorizations, appeals, and post-service appeals. As part of their growing team, they are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented virtual assistant to support their operations.

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a Pre-Services & Appeals Assistant to work closely with a senior specialist in handling medical pre-service and post-service appeals. This is a remote position that requires strong computer skills, document processing abilities, and a proactive mindset. The selected candidate will be expected to stay connected in Google Meet during work hours to facilitate real-time collaboration and will also be responsible for handling phone calls with clients and suppliers during the shift.

 

Responsibilities:

Assist with pre-service authorizations for medical claims.

Handle pre-service and post-service appeals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Merge, edit, and organize narrative reports for claims processing.

Ensure that all required documentation is submitted by the end of each workday.

Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling medical forms.

Handle phone calls with clients and suppliers during the shift.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

Strong computer skills, particularly in document merging, formatting, and editing.

Highly organized and detail-oriented in managing medical records.

 

Preferred Skills:

Proactive mindset and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

Familiarity with medical terminology and claims processing (not mandatory).

 

Personality:

Proactive and collaborative mindset.

Google Meet

 

English Level:

C2

 

Schedule:

9-5 EST

 

Compensation & Benefits:
