Job Title: Fractional Senior HR Advisor

About the Company:

Our client is a luxury corporate floral and experiential design studio that delivers premium floral installations, event florals, holiday décor, and major branded experiences.

Job Description:

This is a fractional engagement designed for a senior HR professional who advises across multiple organizations. You will serve as our trusted internal expert on HR compliance and employee relations — advising leadership, strengthening our people practices, and ensuring we remain compliant with federal, state, and New York City employment laws.

You will not be managing day-to-day HR administration. You will be the senior voice we turn to when it matters most.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Serve as our subject matter expert on federal, state, and NYC employment laws.

• Monitor regulatory changes and proactively recommend updates to our policies and practices.

• Conduct periodic compliance audits and partner with leadership to identify and mitigate employment-related risks.

• Own the development, implementation, and maintenance of our HR policies and Employee Handbook.

• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and managers on sensitive HR matters.

• Provide guidance that is legally sound, practical, and aligned with our culture.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including significant advisory or consulting work.

• Deep knowledge of New York State and NYC employment laws and regulations.

• Experience advising small to mid-size companies or working in a fractional or consulting capacity.

• Strong judgment on sensitive employee relations matters.

• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Excellent communication and discretion.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification.

• Experience in creative, hospitality, or event production environments.

• Prior experience building HR infrastructure from the ground up.

Personality:

• Comfort navigating complex employee relationships across full-time, part-time, and contractor roles.

Software & Tools:

• Familiarity with HR management systems and compliance tracking tools.

Schedule:

• Flexible, as-needed basis.

Salary and Benefits:

• Payment in USD or Local Currency according to candidate's preference.

• Full-time remote opportunity.
