Job Description:
Our Client is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented IT Virtual Assistant to support multiple businesses remotely. This role focuses on managing email systems, domains, DNS configurations, cloud platforms, and general IT operations. The ideal candidate is organized, security-minded, and comfortable handling day-to-day technical tasks while proactively troubleshooting issues and maintaining system stability.
Responsibilities:
• Set up, migrate, and manage Microsoft 365 email accounts.
• Create and manage users, permissions, aliases, and shared mailboxes.
• Configure email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Manage email forwarding, autoresponders, and security policies.
• Troubleshoot email deliverability issues such as spam and bounces.
• Configure and troubleshoot DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT).
• Manage domain registrations, renewals, and transfers.
• Handle GoDaddy account tasks including domains, DNS, SSL, and hosting.
• Set up and renew SSL certificates.
• Configure website pointing and subdomains.
• Set up and perform basic configuration of Azure accounts.
• Manage user access and permissions.
• Create and monitor basic virtual machines, including restarts.
• Configure storage and monitor cloud costs.
• Set up Amazon AWS accounts (non-development).
• Manage IAM users, permissions, and billing alerts.
• Perform user access audits across platforms.
• Configure two-factor authentication.
• Handle account recovery processes.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding for vendors and contractors.
• Create internal IT SOPs and how-to guides.
• Maintain secure documentation of login inventories.
• Document platform access by brand.
• Prepare emergency and recovery checklists.
• Manage SaaS subscriptions and user access.
• Track licenses and optimize costs.
• Coordinate with hosting providers, registrars, and cloud support teams.
• Evaluate tools and prepare comparison summaries.
• Coordinate laptop, email, and application setups.
• Provide basic remote troubleshooting support.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in business IT support.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Experience with DNS and domain management.
• Familiarity with AWS console.
• Experience working with GoDaddy, Cloudflare, or similar registrars.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Ability to manage IT needs across multiple businesses.
• Security-aware mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience supporting remote teams.
• Familiarity with cloud cost monitoring and optimization.
• Experience creating IT SOPs and internal documentation.
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve technical issues.
Personality:
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Reliable and proactive problem-solver.
• Security-conscious and responsible with access management.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
