Job Description:

We are looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Video Editor & Engagement Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role centers around producing high-quality, influencer-style video content for Instagram and LinkedIn, while actively engaging with audiences to build meaningful connections. The ideal candidate lives and breathes social media, combining technical execution with strategic thinking to craft compelling content. As the role grows, there will be opportunities to expand into client-focused content creation.

 

Responsibilities:

Create and edit short-form, influencer-style video content for Instagram Reels and LinkedIn.

Design visually engaging social media posts aligned with the brand’s identity.

Post content, respond to comments, and engage with audiences in a professional and timely manner.

Monitor social media trends, algorithm changes, and audience behavior to keep content relevant and competitive.

Repurpose long-form videos into short, shareable clips optimized for each platform.

Collaborate with leadership to execute creative strategies that support the company’s mission.

Conduct research on social strategy, influencers, and successful case studies to refine content approaches.

Assist in content creation for clients and support broader marketing initiatives as the team evolves.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

Proven experience editing and posting videos for Instagram Reels and LinkedIn.

Demonstrated understanding of social media strategy, content performance, and audience engagement.

High level of communication and ability to convey ideas clearly across creative and strategic conversations.

Proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro.

Strong design skills and an eye for layout, composition, and visual branding.

Capable of balancing multiple projects under deadlines while maintaining organized workflows.

A portfolio showcasing social video editing, social post design, and engagement strategy is required.

 

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of motion graphics or animation.

Strong storytelling and content ideation skills.

A natural communicator who engages confidently and authentically with audiences.

A well-rounded blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking.
