Job Title: Accountant / Bookkeeper

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the structured office management and accounting processes at our client's company. This position is perfect for a proactive individual with a strong analytical and accounting skill set who thrives in a dynamic, professional environment.

Our client specializes in high-quality fence installation and related services for residential and corporate clients. Availability:

  • Full-time position.
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Payroll:

  • Assign credit card payments, record deposits, and process payroll weekly.
  • Handle accounts receivable and payable processing.
  • Manage subcontractor payments via ACH.

Reconciliation & Reporting:

  • Reconcile purchase order confirmations, invoices, and receipts.
  • Prepare detailed reports for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and open purchase orders (OPOs).

Job Status & Scheduling:

  • Manage job status reports and update installation progress.
  • Schedule job appointments and coordinate crew schedules.

Document Preparation & Management:

  • Prepare permit applications, HOA paperwork, and lien notices.
  • Process in-house contracts and utilize industry-specific software to create materials lists.
  • Collect warranty claim information and schedule warranty claim visits.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Use QuickBooks for estimates, sales orders, and invoice submissions.
  • Handle customer calls, providing updates and scheduling support.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files.

Other Duties:

  • Implement processes using Google Suite and other tools as needed.
  • Perform additional administrative or operational tasks as assigned.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, including AP, AR, and payroll.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Suite applications (Sheets, Docs, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional typing and computer skills.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Associate’s degree (AA/AS) in Bookkeeping/Accounting preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific inventory or project management software is a plus.

 

Language Proficiency:

  • Professional English proficiency (C1 or higher).
