Job Description:
We are looking for a Sales Engineer with strong full-stack development skills to join our fast-growing Asia Pacific team. This is a client-facing, pre-sales and solutions delivery role ideal for professionals who enjoy combining software engineering with business strategy and customer engagement.
You'll work closely with customers, sales, and technical teams to design, prototype, and implement cutting-edge geospatial and cloud-based solutions using Google Maps Platform and Google Cloud technologies.
In addition to the strong technical knowledge, the candidate needs to have excellent communication and presentation skills as well as effective interpersonal skills. This is a customer facing role, majority in a sales environment. The candidates also need to have some business acumen, technical writing skills, problem-solving capabilities and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Understand client needs and translate them into tailored technical solutions.
• Build prototypes and production-ready applications (web and mobile) using full-stack technologies.
• Participate in pre-sales activities: product demos, technical presentations, and solution proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers, QA, and business analysts to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Leverage Google Cloud, Google Maps Platform, and open APIs to build geospatial applications.
• Support the sales cycle with documentation, architecture diagrams, and client consultations.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of full-stack web development experience (Python or Java + advanced JavaScript).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in a customer-facing or pre-sales engineering role.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Linux environments and experience in REST/JSON APIs.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or similar (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with geospatial tools (Google Maps, GIS platforms) is a strong plus.
Preferred Skills:
• ReactJS / React Native
• WebGL or OpenGL programming
• Mobile app development (iOS/Android)
• DevOps practices and tools
• Machine learning techniques for object detection
• Database design & optimization.
