Our Client is a healthcare provider specializing in mental health services. They are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and are expanding their team to strengthen patient intake, customer service, and revenue cycle management operations.

 

Job Description:

We are seeking Virtual Medical Intake Assistants to support Our Client’s centralized contact center. This role will focus on new patient intake, follow-ups for documentation, insurance verification, and customer service. Ideal candidates will be bilingual in English and Spanish, have strong communication skills, and be able to handle sensitive healthcare information with professionalism and discretion.

 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient intake calls, assist patients in completing forms, and collect required information.

• Follow up with patients to gather additional documentation as needed.

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits with payers.

• Inform patients of applicable copays and coordinate pre-visit payment collection.

• Provide professional customer service to patients and collaborate with doctors and nurse practitioners.

• Accurately document information in systems to support continuity of care.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy and security standards.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service or patient-facing roles.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.

• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients.

• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn healthcare or administrative systems.

• Understanding of confidentiality and privacy in handling patient information.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in healthcare, medical intake, or revenue cycle management.

• Familiarity with insurance verification and benefits eligibility processes.

• Background as a medical assistant, nurse, or medical interpreter.

 

Personality:

• Polished and professional in communication.

• Patient, empathetic, and service-oriented.

• Organized with attention to detail.

• Reliable, consistent, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

 

Software & Tools:

• Remote desktop environments (for secure access to systems).

• Healthcare practice management or EHR systems (training provided).

• Communication and productivity tools (e.g., email, CRM platforms).

 

English Level:

C2

 

Schedule:

9-5 EST

 

Salary and Benefits:

Payment in USD or Local Currency according to candidate's preference. Productivity incentives may apply in some areas.
