Job Title: Procurement and Supply Chain Associate

Job Description:

The Procurement and Supply Chain Associate will assist the VP of Supply Chain and Manufacturing in managing procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring an efficient, organized, and cost-effective operation. This role requires collaboration with the Operations Manager and suppliers to align materials and production schedules with business needs while overseeing vendor onboarding, sourcing materials, and enhancing internal documentation and tools.

 

Responsibilities:

Procurement & Supplier Management:

  • Vet and onboard new raw material and production suppliers in collaboration with the quality team.
  • Support negotiations with suppliers regarding pricing and terms.
  • Manage accurate movements, record keeping, and inventory in the ERP system.
  • Assist the VP in managing procurement workflows, documentation, and supplier communications.
  • Execute invoice approval processes related to procurement purchases.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts, supplier and product information, and procurement process SOPs.

Production & Inventory Support:

  • Support creation of production assemblies in the ERP system.
  • Assist in tracking and reconciling inventory post-production, including wastage and costs.
  • Collaborate with logistics to confirm timely delivery of materials.
  • Support demand planning efforts with sales and production teams.
  • Assist in preparing monthly production summary reports highlighting COGS drivers.
  • Help vet potential new production facilities and facilitate onboarding.
  • Support post-run inventory reconciliation and discrepancy management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Estimate COGs for new product lines and scale-up processes.
  • Participate in weekly Innovation, Sales, and Product team calls as needed.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Fluency with Excel and intermediate-level model-building skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing support.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Cin7, DEAR, or similar).
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Vendor relationship management experience.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing and consumer goods is a significant plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance in food manufacturing.

Personality:

  • Proactive and detail-oriented.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.

Software & Tools:

  • ERP systems (e.g., Cin7, DEAR).
  • Excel and other data management tools.

English Level:
